Well, I don't have 100 just yet, but I'll add more as I think of them. Right.
1. A new ring of planes is discovered beyond the Outer Planes.
2. The planet the PCs are on is found to be a planet sized earth elemental that has been in a deep sleep for millions
of years. However, it's starting to wake up.
3. A mysterious epic spell resurrects everyone that has died in the past 500 years of something other than old age in
a large material plane city. Sensing a violation of the law they are made to enforce, groups of maruts arrive to send the
resurrected back to the grave. However, unable to tell the resurrected from those who should be alive, they simply begin killing
indiscriminately.
4. A mysterious woman claiming to be a former deity from a forgotten pantheon asks the PCs for help in regaining
her former divine status.
5. Two words: Paragon Hecatoncheires.
6. A tear in the fabric of the multiverse opens a portal to a different multiverse. Strange and powerful creatures, primarily
devastation vermin, emerge from the portal in large numbers.
7. For reasons unknown, an epic wizard begins replacing a city's inhabitants with simulacrums, one person at a time.
8. Clerics who previously channeled positive energy (turn/destroy undead and spontaneously cast cure spells)
now find that they channel negative energy (rebuke/command undead and spontaneously cast inflict spells). The opposite
is true of clerics who previously channeled negative energy.
9. Divine Emissaries of deities both good and evil are being assasinated by an unknown killer.
10. A demon lord who has been stockpiling gold and other treasure for centuries suddenly spends his entire
hoard on hired assasins. The targets all appear to be powerful devils.
11. A Thrall of Orcus, angered by a brothel owner, kills the owner and all of the harlots. He then reanimates them as
undead and opens a new brothel for necrophiliacs.
12. A gnome sculptor, famous for the incredible detail and realism of his work, is found to actually be a powerful transmuter
and all of his sculptures are petrified people.
13. A mysterious entity calling himself the "Abomination Lord" attempts to rally all abominations everywhere into one
large army to crush the gods and their followers and retake the multiverse for the abominations.
14. A famous graveyard where the members of the royal family have been buried for centuries becomes a corpse tearer.
15. [Insert enemy of the PCs here] creates a colossal Super Soulstone, parked in the Astral Plane. It grabs and traps
the souls of the dead as the attempt to travel to the afterlife, as well as souls attempting to return to life. This makes
any sort of resurrection impossible, even with a wish or miracle, until the stone is destroyed.
16. The player characters are asked to appear before the entire pantheon in the sacred meeting place of the gods.
17. A city of intelligent undead is discovered underground. The undead harbor no malice toward anyone and wish only
to be left alone. Some unseen evil tricks an army of paladins into preparing to invade the city and destroy all who live there.
18. An army of sentient flesh golems led by a small group of flesh collossi begins "harvesting" small towns to gather
parts to make more of their kind.
19. Zuggtmoy begins recruiting mercenaries, hoping to assemble an army and drive Juiblex out of Shedaklah. Whatever their
alignment (unless they have fought against the queen of fungi before), a group as powerful as the PCs will likely attract
the attention of one of her recruiters.
20. While traveling from one town to another, the PCs cross a strange river that isn't marked on any maps. A few hours
past it, they discover that none of the NPCs they were traveling with recall crossing a river, and none of the people in town
have ever heard of one nearby.
21. A devil lord offers the PCs a large reward if they begin attacking demons in Pazunia to cause a distraction while
a devil army marches in.
22. The players discover that the celestial quasi-diety a local paladin order serves was actually assasinated and replaced
by a fiend decades ago that has been manipulating the paladins ever since. If the players attempt to share this with anyone
they are branded as heretics.
23. A graveryard where the dead of many local towns is huanted. Despite what people believe, the undead there are not
evil and have no desire to harm mourners, they wish only to protect their graves. The mutilated bodies that turn up now and
then were not actually innocent mourners, but graver robbers punished by the ethereal guardians. Recently, however, more and
more bodies are turning up horribly damaged. This is not the work of the ghosts however, but the work of a Nabassu that recently
emerged from the Abyss and entered the graveyard. The ghosts want the demon gone, but are unable to destroy it. Any time they
attempt to explain the situation to mortals in the graveyard, they either flee screaming in terror or draw a ghost touch
weapon. The ghosts hope that adventurers like the PCs will be more open minded.
